Vaccination - Cat

Our recommended protocol is based on the most up to date, nationally accepted guidelines:

FVRCP (Feline Herpes virus, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia virus)

Vaccination can start between 7 – 9 weeks of age

3 injections are given 3-4 weeks apart

(2 vaccines only if the kitten is 16 weeks or older)

Then annual booster ;

Then every only every 3 yrs

This vaccine is given to all cats

In addition, it is recommended to test outdoor cats for FeLV and FIV

If results are negative, it is recommended to vaccinate for:

FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus)

2 vaccines; 3-4 weeks apart

Starting at 12 weeks of age

Then annual boosters are given

Rabies –recommended for outdoor cats that are considered at risk

Initial vaccine is given at age of 4 months

Then annual booster

Then the vaccine is given only every 3 years
